About Me

I am a Junior Marketing major at the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. I am involved in our school’s radio station, WMUA. Outside of being the Finance Director, I host the radio show Down A Rabbit Hole and co-host The Sunday Morning Word. I blend my passions for music and marketing by promoting bands through social media design, merchandise creation and sales, artist interviews, and press release writing. I have further strengthened my understanding of the music industry through internships at Iodine Recordings, Pirate Promotions, and The Center for Arts in Natick.

Music Marketing

I have always had a passion for music, but it wasn't until last spring that I began to blend this passion with my knowledge of business. Creative projects and grassroots events planning allows me to amplify the voices of musicians and connect their work with listeners.

Thus far, I have designed flyers, Instagram posts, album covers, and logos for artists using mixed-media and softwares such as Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and Canva. I have also designed stickers for WMUA, photographed various bands, and screen-printed t-shirts and pressed buttons for the Grateful Dead-inspired band, Northbound.

Radio

Since the fall of my freshman year, I have been a radio DJ, currently hosting Down A Rabbit Hole. I explore a different genre of music on my show every three weeks, and you can find the blog for my show within this website. My entries include a historical overview, interviews, concert experiences, recommended tracks, and, of course, my thoughts.

I also interview and host live-performing bands on my show. Northbound and Caramia & the Breakdowns played on separate occasions this past fall, and archives of these performances are on this website. Coming up, Central MA Alt/Emo Rock band, Costumes, is playing on February 18th, with other bands scheduled to perform soon after.

& More

In collaboration with WMUA, I am organizing a Riot Grrrl–inspired charity event this spring. On March 27, Sapien Joyride and Sgarffito Kill will take the stage at Marsh House. In addition to punk performances, zines will be tabled and distributed, and screen-printed merchandise will be sold to raise funds for charity.

This spring I will also be continuing my role as Finance Director for UMass Amherst’s radio, WMUA, and focusing on Marketing coursework. Last summer, I interned at Iodine Recordings, a record label, and Pirate promotions, a radio promotions company, and I look forward to applying this industry knowledge to next semester’s creative projects.
